How does the spend dashboard work?

The dashboard pulls live data from your connected accounting system and displays total vendor spend, trends over time, spend by category, and your top vendors by cost. It updates as new transactions flow in. No manual refresh needed.

What happens when I upload a contract?

Ensurva reads the PDF and extracts key terms automatically, including vendor name, contract dates, total value, renewal type, payment terms, and obligations. Each extraction gets a confidence score. If the system is uncertain about any field, it flags the contract for your review.

How does vendor categorisation work?

Ensurva assigns categories to vendors automatically based on known patterns. When you manually correct a category, the platform remembers your preference and applies it to future transactions from that vendor. Duplicate vendor names like "Microsoft" and "MSFT" are merged automatically.

What reporting is available?

Eleven built-in reports covering spend trends, category and department breakdowns, vendor concentration, contract coverage, auto-renewal exposure, payment terms, renewal calendar, renewal risk, and renewal ownership. Every report supports date range filtering, custom filters, and CSV export.

Can multiple people use the platform?

Yes. Invite team members with role-based access. Finance, ops, IT, and leadership can all see the data relevant to their role. Each organisation's data is fully isolated if you manage multiple entities.

What accounting systems do you connect to?

Ensurva integrates with Xero today. Data flows one way, from Xero into Ensurva, keeping your accounting system as the source of truth. Additional integrations are on the roadmap and prioritised by customer demand. You can also upload data via CSV if you are not on a connected platform yet.

How does renewal tracking work?

Every contract with an end date gets a renewal entry. Renewals are colour-coded by urgency across five configurable tiers, from overdue to on track. You can view them as a pipeline board grouped by month or as a filtered list. Each renewal has an assigned owner so nothing falls through the cracks.
