Before Ensurva, Matt co-founded Mutinex in 2018 and built it into a market-leading AI-driven market mix modelling platform, scaling the company to 90+ staff, securing major enterprise customers, and raising $17.5M in 2024 at a $132M valuation. The experience of running a fast-growing company, and watching vendor spend quietly compound across departments, shaped the thinking behind Ensurva. Before Mutinex, Matt spent 15 years in media and advertising agencies, including eight years as a Managing Director at one of the world's largest marketing holding companies. That work gave him a close view of how large organisations make spending decisions, what gets measured, and what falls through the cracks. His background spans AI, data analytics, digital transformation, sales, and compliance. On the Ensurva blog, he writes for finance leaders trying to turn vendor spend from a reported line item into a managed category, and for founders and CEOs who suspect there is waste in the numbers but do not have time to audit every invoice.
